A panel of outside lawyers, appeared yesterday before the City Council, debating the role of our city attorney, aka “one-man insane asylum” according to Councilman Jim Madaffer. City Attorney Mike Aguirre did not attend the meeting, but was represented by two experts on public law who said the charter gives him, the “sole” authority to initiate lawsuits. Mike said, “This is part of the overall coverup that Ms. Atkins has been involved in, and the other council members have been involved in. Today, there was an effort to try and obstruct the work of the City Attorney’s Office.”
