Councilmember Toni Atkins presented the State of the District Address Wednesday evening at the Balboa Park Club where she also acknowledged many community activists for their dedicated service to District 3. Honorees included the Hillcrest Business Association’s executive director Warren Simon and HBA boardmember Cindy Lehman of California Bank & Trust. Toni also presented a special commendation to four publications — Gay & Lesbian Times, San Diego Magazine, CityBeat and HillQuest.
