Welcome to Snooze and Freebirds! Both eateries have this week opened their doors to hungry customers along Hillcrest’s restaurant row (Fifth Avenue north of University).
Snooze, a family-owned, fun-inspired Denver-based chain has arrived on the west coast, and they couldn’t be more excited. Tuesday, Wednesday and today all proceeds (including tips) are benefiting the Monarch School; the LGBT Center’s Sunburst Youth Housing Project; and ARTS – A Reason To Survive (which provides therapy and healing to at-risk youth through art.)
A soft opening was also held at Freebirds on Wednesday to benefit the Scripps Health Foundation. For a donation to the non-profit, diners enjoyed complimentary food and drinks. This morning Freebirds celebrated its debut by offering the first 25 guests in line free burritos for a year.
