Supervisor Ron Roberts addressed the Hillcrest Business Association’s March meeting Tuesday evening at the Joyce Beers Center in the Uptown District. Roberts expressed two concerns: the placement of released sexually violent predators into our community and the proposed relocation of the UCSD Medical Center from Hillcrest to La Jolla.
Several business owners also attended tonight’s meeting to learn of the proposed condo development at 301 University Avenue. Julie Hamilton, an attorney representing Hamburger Mary’s co-owner Doug Snyder, gave a presentation on the 14-story building and the negative impact it would have on Hillcrest.
