Over 30 volunteers clean up Hillcrest
According to one neighbor, “The area went from really, really bad to pristine.” Great turn-out for this year’s post-Pride clean-up! Thanks to everyone for pitching in yesterday morning to put the shine back on the neighborhood. Several of the side streets were particularly trashy. Dozens of community volunteers showed up bright and early beginning at 7am along Park Boulevard just south of University Avenue before breaking up into work teams and fanning out through eastern Hillcrest. The volunteer effort logged 101 hours, and will be rewarded with a $1,000 donation to the Hillcrest Town Council from San Diego Pride. Thanks to everyone!
