Sad. Someone vandalized the Vermont Street pedestrian bridge yesterday afternoon between noon and 2pm. It seems as if a car plowed down the two blue lighted batons on the north side of the bridge then proceeded to drive across the bridge and ran down the temporary aluminum post on the south side.
San Diego City Street Division took away the destroyed batons to see if they can be repaired. SDPD took a vandalism report. Steve Satz and other UHCA members have worked hard over the last year to raise funds for repairs to the south side of the bridge. If anyone witnessed this act, please contact the police department.
