It’s Pride Weekend — head to Balboa Park for a final day of funThis year’s Pride concludes with a final festival day in Balboa Drive just south of Laurel Street. Don’t miss the fun. Frenchie Davis will take the stage from 5-5:45pm.

The weather this weekend is the best ever for the Pride festivities! (Remember the year it rained?) Hundreds of photos have been posted in HillQuest’s Facebook albums, and please check out all the videos (including one of Sister Iona Dubble-Wyde, at the left) on the HillQuest channel.
Did anyone else think it was odd that Congressman Bob Filner’s signs said he was San Diego Mayor? Hey, buddy…..you gotta win the election first.

After a great Pride weekend please join us Monday morning to put the shine back on the neighborhood. Free orange t-shirts to all volunteers. Beginning at 7am sign in and get your broom — on Park Boulevard just south of University Avenue. “Together Everyone Achieves More” — the volunteer effort will be rewarded with a donation to the Hillcrest Town Council from San Diego Pride. Brooms, bags and free t-shirts will all be provided. See you there! A dumpster for community use will be located in the parking lot of Numbers. Help clean up the neighborhood following a fun Pride weekend!
