The Glenner Alzheimer’s Center at the corner of Fourth and Pennsylvania held their grand opening on Sunday. In 1982
Dr. George and Mrs. Joy Glenner created the nation’s first adult day care program for Alzheimer’s disease in Hillcrest.
The library in the new center will be dedicated to the memory of Ronald Reagan who presented the Glenners with a presidential commendation in 1988 on behalf of their pioneering work in family services and Dr. Glenner’s contribution to Alzheimer’s disease scientific research.
