Happily, a heritage landmark on the southeast corner of Richmond & Pennsylvania wasn’t trimmed as closely as was previously marked by the city. This past Wednesday white paint identified a large cut in the trunk and roots for a new curb and sidewalk, but residents are praising the city crew for curving the sidewalk just a bit to save this 100-year old neighborhood treasure.
The white and red spray paint have been covered with black (a good thing!), and the project will be finished soon. Movies on YouTube.
