Bird Watching
From hummingbirds to hawks and goldfinches to barn owls, Uptown has an abundance of birds. Many make San Diego their permanent home, while many also migrate though our county.

Take a walk in one of San Diego’s most beautiful walking canyons. Several blue heron have been spotted in both Maple Canyon and Cypress Canyon, where park rangers say there are up to four of the large winged creatures living here.
Binoculars aren’t needed!
San Diego birds enjoy the weather almost as much as humans (and the cost of living is better for them!).
