Every week Balboa Park museums open their doors for us to explore. Today is the third Tuesday. So this week — the San Diego Art Institute, the Museum of Man, the Mingei International Museum, the Japanese Friendship Garden & the San Diego Museum of Art are FREE to enjoy. The Timken Museum of Art is always free. Take advantage of this great opportunity to acquaint yourself with the wonderful gems in our big backyardand still have money in your pocket for a great Hillcrest lunch.
The free day was created as a “thank you” to local residents for supporting these museums through tax dollars.
