City Council candidate Stephen Whitburn who is advocating for open government in San Diego will be holding a 1pm press conference this Sunday afternoon in the strip mall at the corner of University & Fourth avenues to discuss this new project which is moving through the city process with no community input.
“Too many people have lost faith in government because of backroom deals for special interests at City Hall. We need a government that is working for the people, not the developers.”
Developer Bruce Leidenberger & University Vista, LLC have something new planned for University Avenue (between Third & Fourth…initially his 301 University which was sent back to the drawing board by Superior Court Judge Linda Quinn last September). Unfortunately, Leidenberger’s new towers, now 175 feet and 193 feet high, are even taller. Community activists will share what they have found out. You are welcome to share your opinion here.
