This Saturday, March 19 the Ms Senior San Diego Preliminary Pageant will be held at the Balboa Park Club, 1-4pm. Admission is free. Come one, come all to this terrificly entertaining afternoon. Find out which of the beautiful ladies will represent San Diego in the California pageant. Heads up!
I just returned from a staged musical (a clever take off on the Wizard of Oz with appearances of story book characters like Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella) at Paradise Senior Village in National City where the residents and I were treated to a show starring lovely and talented title holders from the Ms Senior pageant. It was a sample of the wonderful talent that will be seen this Saturday.
And just around the corner on Thursday, March 24 a “foot stompin’ ” afternoon (12noon -3:30pm) will be held at Balboa Park Club. Join Russell Mapes and the Billy Harper Band for the Western Dance and Cowboy 2-Step Lessons. From 12-12:30 Russell will teach the Cowboy 2-Step. All this and refreshments for only $3. Now, turn the next corner. Another fun events is coming up: The St. Patrick’s Dance on Thursday, March 10, 1-3:30pm with The Sundance Band (be sure to wear your best “Green Bib and Tucker”).
