First picked as the global theme at the Iceland conference by delegates from around the world (including SD Pride Executive Director Suanne Pauley) the SDLGBT board has adopted it as well since it reflects the political climate and new struggles for the community.
The announcement of a new theme also marks the start of Pride’s annual logo contest, open to everyone in the community.
The organization is looking for all types of color designs that exemplify the message. The winning artist will receive $500.
Entries must be received at the Pride office by January19. Guidelines may be obtained at their website.
