Join the San Diego Floral Association, Mission Hills Heritage and the San Diego Historical Society in celebration of San Diego’s leading horticulturalist, Kate Sessions. Floral president Nancy Carter will share Kate’s history and her contributions to the physical landscape of the region this Sunday beginning at 11am. Enjoy birthday cake on the loggia of the Junipero Serra Museum in Presidio Park.
Kate Sessions geraniums honoring the “Mother of Balboa Park” will be for sale at the museum during the event. At 1pm everyone is welcome to walk around Presidio Park to learn about the area’s trees and plants.
