Thursday afternoon the City of San Diego’s Historic Resources Board agreed with city staffer Mike Tudury and unanimously voted to once again designate the House of Heirlooms structure as historical. In January the board approved it on two merits, but it was reheard yesterday because of improper noticing. After public testimony and board discussion a third criteria of historic merit was added. The 1919 building is the oldest that remains from the original St. Joseph’s Hospital complex.
