After sitting unused for over 26 years, the Pernicano parking lot (along Sixth Avenue between Robinson and University) has been resurfaced, striped with 38 spaces (two handicapped spots) and was opened Wednesday afternoon for community use — cost is $2 for the first hour with discounts for extended stays. Finally, some relief to the parking problems in the heart of Hillcrest. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.
Todd Gloria and the community will celebrate the long-awaited opening next Friday.
