The two k-rails at Tenth & Robinson have been hauled out of Hillcrest by the city. Neighborhood activists attached balloons early Thursday morning to wave “bye bye” as the unwanted k-rails were hauled away. Last month Gary Pence in the traffic department thanked the community for our continued patience. (It has been a multi-year process, but these ugly cement barriers that have been magnets for trash and graffitti, as well as creating neighborhood congestion, will finally be gone forever.) Here are a couple videos on YouTube and a photo album on Facebook.
