Members and guests of the San Diego Floral Association held a centennial tea at the US Grant Hotel yesterday afternoon in conjunction with their spectacular weekend flower show. One of the oldest garden clubs in the nation looked back over the last hundred years of accomplishments. “Kate Sessions” (one of the founders) started off the program aptly entitled “Revisiting Our Past.” The Mother of Balboa Park told tales from the turn of the century as she reminisced over San Diego’s rich history. Several Floral members modeled fashions through the century before awards were presented to Marie Walsh, Velma West, Walter Anderson and the Roy & Barbara Jones family. The US Grant setting and service was elegant, and wonderful time was enjoyed by all.
