Another city charette Tuesday evening
Want to help plan what the Hillcrest of the future will look like? How will we move around the community? And what is the strategy for Uptown parks, recreation & open spaces?!?
The City of San Diego City Planning & Community Investment department invites you to participate in a series of charrette meetings associated with the Uptown Community Plan Update. Since participation and input from the community are an integral part of this plan update process for Hillcrest, these charrette meetings will provide an opportunity for community members and stakeholders to be participants in determining the vision for Hillcrest and Uptown. Please attend to learn more and share your vision for the future of Uptown.
Date: This Tuesday, Sepember 21 at the Balboa Park Club from 6pm to 9pm. (The city even provides refreshments.)
6pm – Attendee sign-in. Participants will be free to view the existing conditions information boards and add comments. 6:30pm – Community Mobility Prioritization of preferences and consideration of ideas related to the community’s transportation network as well as major ideas from previous studies undertaken in the community. 8pm – Park, Rec & Open Space Strategy Review and discussion of park, recreation & open space input to date.
This charrette meeting will involve both community members and planners working together in an open environment to develop urban planning design concepts for a community.
