The rain stopped and Hillcrest Mardi Gras went on without a hitch. Partygoers were greeted with beaded necklaces at the entrance. Performers from Il Circo and visitors wore gorgeous costumes (shown posing for the camera above). Sue Palmer, Candye Kane and Tootie & the Lip Girls pumped the audience with music that resoned in your soul. Even a ferris wheel stood tall above the Hillcrest Mardi Gras! Outdoor heaters were provided around the beer garden to keep guests cozy. DJ Taj kept the dance tent jamming with high energy techno. Overall, the party was a success because not only did it celebrate the spirit of Fat Tuesday, it benefits the GSDBA Charitable Foundation for youth scholarships and Hillcrest Association for neighborhood
