Have you ordered the Subservient Chicken?

(Have it “your way” with this chicken kinked up in garters!)

Here’s some favorites from last Saturday’s Taste of Uptown.
• City Deli reported 670 brownies and lemon squares were devoured.
• Margarita Mary’s wins our prize for the most festive restaurant, and they’re not even “officially” open. They served margaritas and quesadillas to the masses.
• Taste of Szechuan for Patrick’s yummy cream cheese wontons.
David’s Coffeehouse patio again provided the best place to relax and eat an assortment of tasty cakes (and assorted caffeine beverages) under cover of the occasional spring shower.
• Chef Deborah Scott who will have a recipe in HillQuest volume two was hard at work in Kemo Sabe’s kitchen creating their famous potted brownies to the crowds delight.
• The parsley scallion hummus at Whole Foods was “oh so tasty.”
• Taste of Thai served a delicious array of samples.
• At Ben & Jerry’s everyone was giddy as they picked their favorite ice cream flavor.
• Rocky Mt Chocolate Factory had a line out the door waiting to dip strawberries.
• Sushi Itto, Nami and Ono Sushi all shared Japanese taste treats to the throngs.
• Mama Tesa served up the most unusual…steamed potato tacos and colorful salads.
