UH Forum Series begins October 13: Shaping Our Community’s Future

Sponsored by the University Heights Historical Society and the UH Community Development Corporation, this forum series will provide residents with a very broad overview of some of these recent changes, the basics of community planning in SD and to invite residents to think about what they value about our neighborhood and their vision for its future shape. All lectures are free and will take place on Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm at the Grace Lutheran Church, 3993 Park Blvd. Enter from the back alley.

Thursday, October 13 — The Building Blocks of Community Planning in San Diego, Cathy Winterrowd, Principal Planner, Historical and Natural Resources, City of San Diego Development Services Department & Planning; and Marlon Pangilinan, Senior Planner in Community Planning and Project Manager Uptown’s Community Plan update will provide a brief overview of the fundamental building blocks for land use planning in our communities and how they are implemented. Cathy and Marlon will discuss the recent update to the San Diego General Plan, current updates to Uptown and North Park Community plans, historic surveys, the 45-review year process and implications for individuals and neighborhoods.
