Head to the SD Museum of Art for a celebration of art and flowers as dozens of award-winning floral designers (like Kriss Warrick owner of Hillcrest’s InteriorScapes, 1251 University) will fill the galleries with creative arrangements inspired by the museum’s artworks. The result is a vibrant display of color and texture, which encourages visitors of all ages to explore the collection in a unique way. To view Kriss’ arrangement (at right) visit Gallery 16 in front of the masterpiece ‘David with the Head of Goliath’ by Massimo Stanzione.
Art Alive is open to the public from 10am-6pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ticket price (for seniors, military and students) is $12; youth (6–17) is $5; and children under 5 are admitted free. As a bonus: your admission includes entry to the popular exhibit ‘Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life, 1990–2005’ which will be closing on April 22.
